Shanna the Cave Girl

So here is Bombshell Minis’ Cave Girl, as inspired by Shanna the She-Devil, an old Marvel character recently resurrected for Savage Wolverine.

No, I haven’t completely gone off my anti-basing rocker. Yet.

I have a cool idea to make a small scene with her…but it’ll have to wait a few months. So I figure I’d rather post herย  for folks to get inspired to paint some of the Babes up.

She was a pretty quick paint for me, about 6 1/2 hours, 1 1/2 of which were on the eyes. Just wanted something to shake off the rust from my brief hiatus. Hope you enjoy it!

  1. As I said on the board, this one is outstanding. The smooth, subtle blending on the legs and hair really makes it. The fur booties are also really well done. Pissed-off expression is also great. Super clean and smooth job.
I think this is seriously your best yet. Even if it completely lacks NMM! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not especially likely, I know, but I think it would be interesting to see another paint-up of the same model, but dirtied and a little bloodied up. Think the cover artwork for the new Tomb Raider…

    1. Thanks! I leveled up my blending by posting 400px pics instead of 500px ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s not really all that great, a bit chalky and lacking contrast…but I’ll take kind words where I can get them!

As far as blood and dirt, once I’ve got the basics down I’ll start branching into effects. I’ve got a wedding present to paint next (thus the lack of basing here) and then finishing Shanna (hint: Zabu), then a steel NMM project…then I think my basic education is done and I’ll start venturing into fancier stuff, or maybe a few projects like this, just cruise in the comfort zone and enjoy myself without pushing too much.
